Terroir
All the vines are located on a clay-limestone plateau at 170 meters above the Dordogne valley. They are superbly sunny and protected from the southwest winds by a curtain of trees. Partial leaf removal allows you to increase direct contact with the sun and reduces the risk of early botrytis. Since 2005, the vineyard has been converted to organic farming.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested mechanically then cold macerated for 3 days before fermentation. During alcoholic fermentation, the grapes are punched or wet to gently extract the colors and tannins.
Tasting
Ruby red color. Very concentrated with lots of substance and soft tannins. Aromas of red fruits, plum, vanilla. Long finish in the mouth. Ideal with all types of meats, to serve with cheeses or dessert.
