In short
In the wake of Montravel Red, Côtes de Bergerac was the second appellation to develop approval in bottles.
The course set by their specifications is very rigorous both in terms of production conditions and in the control of all batches after bottling.
This requirement allows our winegrowers to create top-of-the-range red cuvées with excellent value for money and growing notoriety. Be seduced in your turn!

A little history...
The history of Côtes de Bergerac Red is intertwined with that of Bergerac Red. They also acceded to the AOC by the decree of 1936. But it was from the 2003 vintage that the appellation took a decisive qualitative turn by reforming its specifications and adopting, like the Montravel Rouges, very strict production conditions and bottle approval.
Terroir
The Côtes de Bergerac Red appellation is located in the south of the Dordogne department, more particularly the district of Bergerac.
It is possible to produce wines in the Côtes de Bergerac Red appellation in more than 90 municipalities surrounding the town of Bergerac. The nature of the soils reflects the extent of the vineyard: from lacustrine limestones, to sands through clays to gravels.
The multiplicity of configurations linked to reliefs, waterways and exposures creates a large number of local climates and allows each winegrower to differentiate himself.
